Sometimes a Tool is Just a Tool

I was in a meeting the other day when someone’s phone went off; turned out, she admitted, it was her alarm to post to social media. I seemed to be the only person in the room who didn’t know—so obvious it must be—that 1-4 p.m. is the best time to post, at least according to those who “strategically leverage and maximize ROI from social business.”. Here’s the chart, FYI, the secrets, I guess they would say, to monetizing your conversions (reaching people).

If you’re going to be a product anyway1, might as well brand your platform.


  1. Not everyone agrees with the saying, or feels it’s as simple as, “If you’re not paying, you’re the product.” It probably isn’t. But online privacy and ownership of data are real issues.
