{"id":1656,"date":"2013-06-01T00:43:07","date_gmt":"2013-06-01T04:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johnestes.org\/?p=1656"},"modified":"2013-06-01T00:43:07","modified_gmt":"2013-06-01T04:43:07","slug":"wheel-of-a-fortune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/johnestes.net\/?p=1656","title":{"rendered":"Wheel of A Fortune"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s the process for winning a million dollars on Wheel of Fortune, what Alexander Abad-Santos calls <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlanticwire.com\/entertainment\/2013\/05\/wheel-of-fortune-tough-workout\/65752\/\">the no-hitter of game show feats<\/a> :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8230;a contestant must land on a tiny ONE MILLION sliver of the wheel during the normal game against two other contestants \u2014 then obviously choose a letter on the board and solve the puzzle, like for any other prize during the early rounds. That puts the potentially million-dollar &#8220;envelope&#8221; into play&#8230; but not until later. Then that contestant has to win the episode and make it to the bonus round \u2014 without landing on bankrupt in between. That still doesn&#8217;t mean you have a shot at the $1,000,000. Here&#8217;s Caitlin Burke, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2262921\/Caitlin-Burke-Astonishing-moment-Wheel-Fortune-puzzle-solved-just-ONE-letter.html\">winning on a long phrase with only one letter given.<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Winning the Scripps Spelling Bee is a bit more difficult (maybe?) and a bit less lucrative (surely?), but similarly it all comes down to one final moment.
